Why Bandipur
Bandipur National Park is one place in India, which provides tranquil and serene atmosphere to its visitors. Established in 1931 by the Mysore Maharajhas, this park is nestled in the foothills of the Nilgiris.

Bandipur National Park starts blooming with the arrival of pre-monsoon showers in the month of April. The resident birds starts their breeding activities. The elephants and the majestic gaurs wander freely in the grassland areas. During the summer season, when dryness exists over most parts of Bandipur, the backwaters of the Kabini Reservoir in the northwestern part of the park entertains huge gathering of large mammals, especially the elephant and the gaur.
